GROTTA DEL CAVALLONE

Situated at 1,475 meters above sea level and celebrated by the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio, this cave extends for 1,300 meters, offering a beautiful visit and a splendid panorama. It is divided into a main gallery and three secondary branches.

Access: take the funicular(funivia) for a rather spectacular climb of about 20 minutes, then a series of stairs leads to the cave. A rather physical access, let's be honest! A tip: inside, the temperature is about ten degrees, so remember to put a sweater in your backpack.
