CATTEDRALE DI SAN PANFILO

One of the oldest churches in Sulmona. Damaged several times by fires and earthquakes, and successively restored, it presents a variety of styles that testify to its history: the Romanesque crypt houses the relics of Pope Celestine V and frescoes of the ^fourteenth century; the harmonious facade, with a horizontal crown characteristic of the region, opens with a carved portal of the ^fourteenth century; the interior is decorated with stucco and Baroque paintings.
