A magnificent aqueduct, a majestic construction of medieval times in Spoleto.

Majestic medieval building, dating from the 14th century, which fascinated Goethe (you can read a text by the poet), probably built on the remains of an ancient Roman bridge. This magnificent aqueduct is 230 m long, 80 m high and has ten huge Gothic arches. It connects the rocca Albornoziana, the fortress overlooking Spoleto, to Monteluco and the church of San Pietro, crossing the Ticino river. A beautiful panoramic walk of about 1 km, known as giro dei Condotti (tower of the Conduits), in perspective!

Amazing construction of 14th Century that is a bridge on a small River 230 meters long and 80 meters high. Unfortunately now you cannot walk on top. They closed it. I do not understand if the reason is the possible collapse of the structure that seems ok or the lack of protection barrier for The crossing pedestrians
