This Romanesque church dating from the 12th century is located near Porta San Gregorio.
Located near Porta San Gregorio, one of the main entrances to the historic centre of Spoleto, this Romanesque church dates back to the 12th century. It was built in honour of the martyr Gregorio, whose body was allegedly recovered by a widow named Abbondanza from the nearby Roman amphitheatre and then transported to the present church site. One can appreciate the scenic effect created by the 16th century portico that precedes it and the large bell tower that seems to protect it.

On the low part it is again very Simple with a lot of old frescos. I loved instead the presepe and the fresco outside in the Portico on the left.
