The osteria PepeNero, run by the two friends, Marco and Antonio, is a delicious and quiet place, where all the dishes are taken care of and prepared on the spot with fresh products. Tagliata with arugula and parmesan, nettle gnocchetti with tomato and basil, spaghetti with seafood, tagliolini with the fish of the day... The menu, which is constantly evolving, favours the finest seasonal ingredients. There are also several tasting menus, from three to five courses, to discover the flavours of the moment on the island of Elba.

Restauracja znajduje się w zacisznym miejscu, co pozwala na stworzenie intymnej atmosfery. Wszystkie stoliki ozdobione sa obrusami, ładną zastawą i wyjątkowymi sztućcami. Zajęliśmy miejsce na zewnątrz, nasz stolik ustawiony był na chodniku wąskiej uliczki starego miasta. Przy klimatycznym oświetleniu i bardzo dobrej obsłudze atmosfera była niezwykle przyjemna. Ponadto wszyscy goście zachowywali się bardzo kulturalnie, cicho a w tle wydobywały się dźwięki muzyki. Jedzenie było bardzo dobre. Zamówiliśmy tatara z tuńczyka , penne , a na drugie miecznika podzielonego na dwie osoby. Wszystko świeże i ze starannością podane. Dodatkowo na początek i na koniec dostaliśmy przysmaki do skosztowania. Bardzo polecam tę restaurację.

Il ristorante si trova in centro a Portoferraio in una via molto tranquilla, i piatti sono di qualità ed il personale gentile e preparato.
Noi abbiamo preso due antipasti, due secondi, due calici e due dolci ed abbiamo speso sui 150€.

The atmosphere was nice, the service was a bit inconsistent which most waiters had a friendly approach and one beard guy with a mix of a bit of snob vibe…we were not so hungry and just ordered a past with fish, which was delicious! But be ready to pay the bill, we paid €100 for 2 pastas and 1 peppe Nero desert with 2 glasses of house red wine.. ah, my husband loved the dessert! Hands down to the kitchen.

as a vegetarian i was amazed by the food as theres not huge choices on elba. i had the vegetarian menu for 50 euros and had 4 dishes plus 2 we shared that come as part of dining here. i was full. the wine was great good service. i totally disagree with some reviews saying too experimental. i did not find that at all my Huband had 3 dishes and also loved it altough 25 euro for a crab bao even if it comes with a tasty potato soup is a bit pricey! however i recommend
