The location of the hotel was great. But that is it. There was nothing else good about it. The service was annoyed at all times, exploited sick kids and was unfriendly whenever anything was asked of them. While we were there it felt like they did not want us to be there. Treat customers better!
I wish I could give a better review. Room was excellent, the bathrooms were small; shower was excellent, but clogged in the second night. The front reception was great during the day, but was understaffed in the evening.
My MAIN gripe was the lack of steady Wi-Fi in the hotel. We had ZERO reception in our rooms, and the lobby connection was slow and consistently disconnected. The front desk kept saying, "Just connect to Corona or Corona Booster", but this literally didn't help. I'm guessing the hotel staff are connected to a separate wifi, because the main Wi-Fi networks were unusable.
In an age where Wi-Fi is necessary to check emails, book trains, check restaurants, coordinate with tour guides, and use for leisure, the lack of Wi-Fi made this a miserable stay. If they fix their internet situation, I would give it 3-4 stars. Until then, I wouldn't recommend this place.
This hotel is a gem! VERY clean, Rooms are spacious and CLEAN, bed is very comfy, the location of the hotel is beyond great! In the center & heart of everything and 3 minutes away from the train station. Breakfast has everything you need - basic but no complains at all. Stayed there for 3 days and I will be back for SURE ????
Great location. Just a short walk from the train station, tram stop and of course a lot of the major sites in Florence. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. Popular with school groups, unfortunately, who hang round the breakfast room for too long. Breakfast was normal, carbohydrate heavy, stuff like most Italian hotels. The service is a bit quirky but never rude. I'd stay here again.
