It is difficult to find a better price-quality ratio in terms of products. We enjoy the freshness of the food of this small trattoria located in the heart of the covered market of Sant'Ambrogio, in the Santa Croce district. On the menu, first courses (pasta, risotto, lasagna, ravioli...), vegetables and meat (beef stew, chicken, Florentine tripe, prosciutto...). Fast service, ideal if you want an express lunch before a visit, and very popular atmosphere, sometimes even noisy, especially during the lunch period.

Da Rocco credo sia un istituzione ed un punto di riferimento per la Firenze Autentica (immersi nel mercato storico di sant'Ambrogio). Nonostante il pieno, in brevissimo tempo, ci hanno fatto accomodare e siamo stati serviti assolutamente in maniera impeccabile. Ottimo il Lampredotto, il roast beef ed il dolce, la tipica schiacciata Fiorentina (un dolce spettacolare). Il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo chianti nel tipico fiasco. Se vi trovate a Firenze non potete non fare tappa in pausa pranzo in questo iconico posto. Consigliatissimo.

Brutta esperienza: ritornati fiduciosi dopo varie volte siamo rimasti molto delusi. Prima mangiavi piatti tipici con porzioni abbondanti a costi modici ora porzioni dimezzate con prezzi maggiorati. Considerato che devi aspettare per sederti (pieno di turisti e neofiti) e che il servizio è scadente (il contorno non può essere portato nettamente dopo il secondo) non ci torneremo più.

Delusione totale prezzi invariati ma porzioni minuscole (polpette 3 di numero, trippa e ribollita servite in un piattino da dolce) e servizio scadente peccato perché era uno dei pochi posti a Firenze dove poter mangiare ancora come una volta buon cibo ad un prezzo conveniente. Non ci torneremo
