This is a great place to discover the charm of an authentic Florentine trattoria, open since 1927, located at the end of Borgo alla Croce ("the street of 100 stores"). The Barrino's decor is meticulous (see the hall of mirrors!) and each object has its own importance. The recipes are 100% Tuscan, with bistecca alla fiorentina a particular highlight, accompanied by fresh produce from the surrounding countryside. The menu gives pride of place to seasonal produce and homemade dishes.

I went there for dinner and had a really good bistecca. Prices were relatively ok (perhaps a bit on the high side). Around 100 Euros for a steak and 2 glasses of wine. The staff spoke good english which was nice. I felt a bit rushed. Not that they would kick us out or anything, but more like they had other reservations and were expecting us to leave. Otherwise I recommend them for the good food

Siamo entrati casualmente, ispirati dall'ambiente caldo ed accogliente oltre che da un menù interessantissimo...che dire, mangiato divinamente cibi genuini, esaltati da una chiara materia prima eccellente, sia nei primi che nei secondi piatti. Proprietari gentilissimi, ottima lista vini, buono il rapporto qualita'/prezzo. Consigliatissimo!
