In San Marco Square, this restaurant is a pure moment of gastronomic happiness. It has a very discreet front, which makes it even more authentic. Over the past ten years, brothers Gianni and Aldo have created a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere that satisfies both local and international customers. The "chefs" and their dynamic team always know how to make a real Tuscan cuisine, refined and particularly tasty, appreciated. Beautiful wine list, smiling service and reasonable prices. Nothing to complain about!

Ah,this was a fantastic experience! We went there the first night and the last of our stay in Florence. So great to meet passionate foodies Martin and Gianni took such good care of us. Recommending dishes and wine.

This friendly, local restaurant is our go-to in Florence. Long-time locals mix with savvy tourists in order to get their helping of delicious traditional Tuscan food alongside expertly selected wines. You can spend a little or spend a lot, but whatever you do, you won't leave hungry.
Sometimes, the bon vivant owner, Gianni, will select the menu for us (and blow us away), and other times, Pietro (long-time Accademia waiter) will give his expert suggestions.
Favourites? Pear and percorino salad, spinach and ricotta ravioli, the mushroom streudel, grilled artichokes (sooo good) and whatever fish dish they have that day. My friends rave about the meat: veal, the steak fiorentino, osso bucco, and the salumi.
At Ristorante Accademia, everyone is treated like a treasured guest, and they truly want you to leave happy. This keeps us going back time and again.
