We love this historic , which also serves as a café, in the Peretola neighborhood, near the Florence airport.
Admittedly, this historic trattoria, run by the Gori family, is not located on the classic tourist routes, but being not far from the airport, it can be the object of a last gourmet stop before your flight. Because here, authenticity, family spirit and true Tuscan cuisine are combined with brilliance. At the table, the dishes follow the tradition from the rustic soups(ribollita) to the unavoidable pasta with cavolo nero pesto and beef simmered in red wine and pepper(peposo), not to mention the copious wine list. Don't forget to make a reservation!

Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto misto di salumi e formaggi della casa insieme a due squisite bruschette di fegatini: tutto di qualità eccellente e di altrettanto gusto.
Passiamo direttamente alla fiorentina, 1.4 kg perfettamente al sangue, di una bontà inaudita, quasi dolce per quanto delicatamente abbracciata dal proprio grasso. La cameriera che ci ha serviti è stata cordialissima e alla mano, caratteristica che ormai sembra andare via via scomparendo… il conto? 110€ comprensivi di due calici di Montepulciano, inutile dire che siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti da ogni punto di vista. Molto migliore di quasi tutte le trattorie del centro storico, torneremo presto anche per assaggiare le zuppe e gli altri piatti che ci sono stati caldamente raccomandati.

Ho avuto modo di assaggiare anche la Fiorentina, e devo dire che si scioglie in bocca senza aver bisogno dello stuzzicadenti!
