Spiral staircase around a tower, like a snail's shell, offering a panoramic view of the roofs of Venice.
Hidden in the heart of a maze of alleys, this mysterious and sculptural staircase lives up to its name. Designed as a spiral staircase, it takes shape with the tower that serves as a backdrop, a bit like the snail(bovolo in Venetian) with its shell. Its balustrades and arches in white stone and brick date back to 1499. They offer a panoramic and singular view of the roofs of Venice. On the second level of the staircase, you can discover a collection of paintings in the loggia.

Beautiful architecture but a little expensive for a view over the roofs more than anything else. Combined ticket with Viva Vivaldi interesting. Otherwise, enjoy the view of the Palazzo, the building is superb and it is free.
