Archaeological museum containing Greek and Roman sculptures, Egyptian remains and the Samagher reliquary.
In the 16th century, Domenico and Giovanni Grimani donated to the Republic of Venice a large stock of ancient art objects and a palace to house them. Now an archaeological museum, this prestigious place preserves a beautiful collection of antiquities. There are Greek and Roman sculptures, Egyptian remains, a numismatic collection, etc. Among the rarities on display is the Samagher reliquary, a paleochristian work in ivory (5th century).
