A small bridge rich in history in the city of Venice.

Ponte delle tette, not heads... but nipples! While prostitution was tolerated in Venice, the church, on the other hand, was firmly opposed to homosexuality. The prostitutes themselves petitioned Patriarch Contarini in 1511 to take action against the "unspeakable vice". Convictions for homosexuality could indeed lead to beheading between the columns of St. Mark's Square.
