Admire the procession of typical boats led by rowers in traditional costumes that once again celebrate the sea in a regatta born over 600 years ago! The inaugural parade recalls the triumphant welcome given to Caterina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, upon her arrival in Venice in 1489. The sovereign had renounced her crown in favor of the City of the Doges. Since then, every year, the greatest costume designers of the lagoon are mobilized to revive this moment of history. A beautiful tribute to local weaving skills.
