The best restaurants Tremezzo

Warm atmosphere guaranteed! Just 100 metres from the lake, La Cucina della Marianna is the right address to taste the specialities. The restaurant is very friendly and its terrace on the lake is a nice asset in the summer. There's no need to choose, the owner decides the menu... Every day a theme, for example on Wednesdays it's grandma's recipes, Thursday it's the garden menu, Friday it's fish day... Each time a great conviviality with a very welcoming staff, in short an address to be discovered.

Get away from the lakefront tourist attractions and climb up a stairway that leads straight to this "cave of madness". A succession of small rooms where barrels covered with a glass board serve as tables, and a pretty terrace with a pergola is the setting of this friendly wine bar. There are many references to be tasted and the cheese and charcuterie boards that accompany them are of excellent quality. The service is perfect, some of the waiters speak French and all of them are good counsellors.

Al Veluu is a family-run restaurant since 1974, offering a superb view of the lake. A little out of the way from the centre of Tremezzo, it is best to get there by car or taxi. Among the specialities not to be missed are the risotto with champagne and green pepper, the penne with tomatoes, spices, olives, pancetta... and to finish a sweet note with the homemade tiramisù and its fresh fruits. The restaurant has its own small organic garden nearby, to maximize the use of fresh, local and seasonal produce.
