The best Italian pizzerias and restaurants Milan

An address launched by two Milanese hipsters with a passion for New York street-food. In a very underground setting, we sit down to bite into burgers and American-style maxi-steaks. Among the cult dishes, the Deli Fried Chicken Burger with fried chicken and the Beyond Veggie Burger (based on "vegetable" meat for vegetarians), fries and mutton chops with barbecue sauce. Special mention for the potato and sesame bread buns. A gastronomic address made in Usa.

A pizzeria among the best known of the Navigli. Pizza, very fine and wide, is enough to satisfy the most ferocious appetites. Several types of pizzas are proposed, some adapted to various intolerances: white pizza (without tomato sauce), gluten free pizza, lactose-free, and even pizza flour.

In the fourns for twenty years, a sympathetic couple of Trieste, great collectors of cutters and small liqueur glasses whose copies adorn the rooms. Their cuisine vogue between Milanese tradition with a French touch and Italian regional specialties. The atmosphere is young and very friendly.

A tasteful decor, fast service and a tempting menu make this pizzeria a sure bet in Milan's Porta Venezia district. It always sells out, especially at weekends, so be sure to make a reservation. The Neapolitan dough pizzas, made with quality ingredients, are succulent and well worth discovering. We particularly like the giolina, a pizza with eggplant and parmesan. At the end of the meal, we recommend you indulge in a tiramisù, which is delicious here.

At Miscusi's, the pasta served is fresh, and you can admire the pastry chef at work! You will be asked to choose the type of pasta you want(trofie, tagliatelle, paccheri...) , and your sauce before adding any ingredients such as burrata or crushed nuts. And if you prefer to rely on the know-how of the cooks, take a look at the specialities of the day on the slate. A friendly atmosphere and very affordable prices, we can only recommend. Zibo was born a few years ago as a food-truck, before becoming this charming little restaurant not far from Sant'Ambrogio. The menu changes according to the season, and features traditional Italian recipes, often revisited, and always prepared using traditional methods. On our visit, we particularly liked the squash, amaretti and mostarda ravioli. The setting is warm and inviting, with seating for around 30 and an open kitchen, and the service is friendly. An address to discover in the neighborhood.

Just a stone's throw from the Navigli (a ten-minute walk), you'll find this genuine Milanese canteen, which welcomes local employees and regulars every lunchtime. A local address where prices are low but quality is high: what more could you ask for? On the other hand, it's best not to be in a hurry, as the queue can get pretty long. The atmosphere is friendly, almost family-like. The homemade desserts are particularly delicious. Make sure you're still hungry, as the portions are generous!

A historic pizzeria in the Chinatown district, on Via Paolo Sarpi. Here you'll be served the famous "pizza al trancio", a slice of pizza fresh from the oven. This pizza, very different from the well-known Neapolitan pizza, is so hearty that it's sold by the slice. The locals love it! At Giuliano's, the base is always a margherita. You can enjoy it as is, or add ham or olives, which are available as extras... To eat in or take away, it's a must in Milan!

Without any doubt an address to remember, just in front of the Bosco Verticale. The kitchen, open non-stop from morning to night, mixes Spanish and French influences and honors quality Italian products. The menu changes every day according to the season. The trendy industrial decoration makes it a pleasant place for a break at any time of the day. And if you're around early in the morning, you can also have a sweet or savory breakfast.
