LACS VERT ET BLEU

This long hike, technically simple but very strenuous for novices, is one of dozens that the Gressoney area has to offer mountain lovers. Start from the Staffal parking lot at 1,825 m; after crossing the Vallon de Moos on a comfortable road, you reach Gabiet (2,350 m). The path north to the Alpage de Lavet leads to the two wild lakes (alt. 2,600 and 2,700 m), with panoramic views of the Straling, Rothorn and Stolemberg. The cable car up to Gabiet avoids the first part of the route.
