The park covers an area of about 11 000 ha, on horseback on the valleys of Chisone, Susa and Sangone. This territory has remained isolated from mass development. Traditional pastoral and agricultural activities are maintained around many preserved hamlets. A protected wildlife can be observed in the park: chamois, deer, deer, boars, sheep and ibex. The park, which can be visited in any season, offers visitors many activities: Guided tours, museum visits, internships, trekking.
