A perfectly preserved open-air museum featuring a medieval garden with flowers and medicinal plants.

In the Valentino park, you can admire the reconstruction of a 15th-century Piedmontese village, a sort of open-air museum. Built for the 1884 International Exhibition, it is perched on a pretty rockery reproducing those found in the Alps. In the village, you can visit the fortress, medieval Piedmontese and Valle d'Aostan houses and workshops, and the medieval garden added to the complex in 1998, featuring flowers, medicinal plants and a vegetable garden. The complex reopened in 2024 after renovation work.

Une reconstitution d'un village médiéval parfaite. Les échoppes vendent des articles dans le thème médiéval. Les rues sont très bien reconstituées et les bâtiments aussi. Tout est vraiment en bon état, c'est très joli. L'accès au village médiéval est gratuit dans le parc lui-même gratuit. Il est possible de visiter le château en payant et cela vaut le coût car un guide d'explication en français très complet est fourni et on apprend plein de choses.

Une étonnante surprise lors de la balade dans le parc, en soi-même déjà agréable à parcourir.
L'accès est libre et gratuit, mais le bon état de conservation des lieux invite à s'intéresser davantage pour faire la visite et mieux connaître l'histoire du lieu...

Arrivée là par hasard, ce fut une bonne surprise. Petit mais bien fait. Fait un peu kitsch de l'extérieur mais l'intérieur est bien reconstitué. Ne pas manquer le parc qui l'entoure.

A voir en se baladant dans le parc qui est très grand en longeant le fleuve.... La reconstitution du village est bien faite mais c'est tout petit et on a vite fait le tour des échoppes. Néanmoins cela vaut la peine si vous avez du temps sur la ville; si vous y venez pour une courte période, vous pouvez l'éviter
