On the road leading from Marjeyoun to Marjayoun, in the centre of a pine forest, is the al-khan souk or Khan khan. They can be seen in the remnants of a former th century khan who was killed Ali, the son of Fakhreddine Ma'an. It is one of the last historical rural gatherings in Lebanon. It was a relay post on the commercial track linking Egypt to Palestine. The 75 m measurement, which was 67 m above m, provided the accommodation for travellers and dealers.
