Near the Nahr Abu Ali is the Ezzédine hammam. It is one of the largest and oldest in the city. It was built in 1298 at the request of the Amir Izzedin Aibek. " Cleanliness leads to piety. " According to this precept, the Amir did not hesitate to take various materials in the Byzantine and cross churches to embellish his hammam. Bottle funds were introduced into the coupole roof in order to diffuse light and avoid the heat loss caused by the windows. Closed in 1975 after 700 years of activity, the steam bath was a long way off: fallen walls and domes destroyed. Thanks to a private donation, the hammam has been renovated.

Hammam Mamelouk
Très grand hammam. La visite est gratuite et il y a des panneaux explicatifs sur l'histoire du lieux et les techniques de chauffage. Lieux préservé mais pourrait être mieux mis en valeur.
