THE PORT
Located in a small cove protected by rocks, the port of Byblos essentially hosts fishing boats. The site is cute but a bit too tourist. In the past, the rampart came close to each end of the creek where there is no longer a tower in the north. Some sailors have set up a number of plastic armchairs on their boats and offer visitors a pleasant walk (tariffs to bargain!). From the sea, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view, you can admire the entire town extending to the foothills of Mont-Lebanon. A walk was also built on the pier to the south of the port. This is the opportunity to have a magnificent view over the coastline, the port of Byblos and the castle of the Crusaders. The harbour welcomes each summer the international festival of Byblos: a scene and stands are located on the left of the port and offer the ideal setting for their concert or show.
