It is one of the oldest halls in Beirut! Opened since 1982, Metropolis Empire Sofil has only two rooms. This cinema mainly offers films less "general public". Every year Metropolis organizes the International Film Festival in Beirut, the Lebanese Film Festival, the International Documentary Festival of Beirut (Docudays).

Très bonne salle de cinéma, offre une sélection originale de films de toutes origine. Endroit à choisir et privilégier si on veut se faire une bonne toile.

Le cinéma où il faut aller à Beyrouth !
Au delà d'une programmation communément appelée "art et essai", beaucoup de festivals et de productions indépendantes.
L'équipe de programmation est très connectée avec les réseaux de cinéma indépendants libanais et européens.
Et les tarifs sont très honnêtes. Souvent 5.000 L.L. pour une séance en festival.
