TETOVO HAMMAM
Located along the Pena River, just opposite the Colored Mosque, this former Ottoman hammam (Беговски Амам/Begovski Amam, Hamami i Tetovës) has served as a municipal gallery for temporary art exhibitions since 2007. Known as the "hammam Čifte" or "bey's hammam", it was erected between the late 15th and early 16th centuries thanks to a donation from Governor Mehmed Çelebi. It is a small "double" hammam(çift in Turkish) with two separate sections for men and women. The complex is topped by two asymmetrical domes.
