ḰEBAPČILNICA DESTAN

This grill restaurant founded in 1913 (Кебапчилница Дестан) is placed at the second crossroads as you enter Stara Čaršija. It's the most popular in the neighborhood, but not the best. It serves chicken or veal kebabs, lamb, šopksa salad, tavče gravče... The specialty, above all, are the ćevapi, these small grilled rolls of minced beef and lamb with a spongy texture. Not so good. We're not too fond of the terrace either, on a busy street where passers-by scrutinize the contents of the plates.
