In the 17th century, this restaurant housed a granary. Today it is a cosy place, furnished in Renaissance style, with walnut tables and chairs against a backdrop of subdued lights and exposed brickwork. It is one of the few places where you can taste the good food of Urbino. On the menu: truffles and game in autumn, squid in sauce in winter, casciotta d'Urbino, the local cheese from the province of Pesaro-Urbino and spaghetti alla chitarra washed down with verdicchio the rest of the year. This gourmet restaurant, located in the old town of Urbino, is renowned for its local specialties. The house offers a wide range of dishes based on local white truffles, especially during the harvest period each year between October and December. The pasta is homemade: try the cappelletti with chicken broth or the tagliatelle with truffle or meat sauce. Everything is divinely good and the service is top notch.
