Contemporary art collection of the Maramotti family in Reggio Emilia
This is the contemporary art collection of the Maramotti family who, in 1951, founded the Max Mara textile brand. It is located in the building of the former clothing factory and includes, on the first floor, Italian and European art from 1950 to 1980, and on the second floor, American and European art from 1980 to the present day. There are also temporary exhibitions and new projects by guest artists. The collection acquires and presents the works of artists awarded the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, in collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery.
