Favourite pastry of the Genoese bourgeois, Mangini maintains the same refined atmosphere (admire the chandeliers rocks) and same quality in its dishes since 1876. The small daisies filled with jam are exquisite. Without forgetting the main house speciality and made in Liguria: Sacripantina. Created in 1851 by Giovanni Preti, this cake with basic ingredients classic (milk, butter, egg yolks, flour) is nicely enhanced with rum and Marsala, without forgetting the addition of bread from Spain.

In the palace where Lord Byron stayed, this patisserie, named after its Swiss founder, is a landmark. Sweet and savoury mignardises and all kinds of chocolates have been made here with the utmost care since 1910. The store, which has caught up with the trend for a certain clientele eager for a more balanced diet, also offers lower-calorie "sweets", with less sugar and more fresh fruit or nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds). One of the specialties that will last the trip is Genoese pandolce.
