For a change from traditional ice cream, here's something to refresh your summer snacks. This all-purpose café-bistro prepares rich Sicilian specialties, including granite, a glass filled with crushed ice in a variety of flavors. Almost every ice-cream parlour sells them, but Don Paolo's are the best in the region. Try the lemon one, or the almond one, and sip through your straw from your little cardboard glass, admiring the romantic view from the esplanade. Heated veranda for winter.
