In days gone by, the porticos of the Porto Antico were teeming with spice stores and fruit merchants. Today, Armanino is one of the last survivors. People come to this grocery store for its delicately weighed dried and candied fruit, especially citrus. Since 1905, the air here has been one of tradition, of good things and of trade secrets handed down from generation to generation. On the shelves and behind the marble counter, you'll also find jams, pastes, sauces and other gourmet preserves.
