RISERVA NATURALE DELLA FOCE DELL'ISONZO

The Bouches de l'Isonzo are home to a rich ecosystem that has been protected since 1996. In this lagoon and marsh environment, framed on the horizon by the Triestine coast and the Alpine massifs, numerous birds have found refuge. The reserve is renowned throughout Italy for birdwatching. On the Isola della Cona, Camargue horses roam freely. Two observation trails start from the visitor center. Bar-restaurant and canoe hire.
