MARCHÉ DE LA PIAZZA PONTEROSSO

In the 19th century, this market, located in a square along the Canal Grande, was the most animated in the city. The goods unloaded directly from the trading ships along the canal were sold in a frenetic and noisy atmosphere. Today, in the square, or in the nearby square of Sant'Antonio Nuovo, there is a flower market on Mondays and a food market (fish, fruit and vegetables) on the other days of the week.
