CIVICO MUSEO DEL MARE

On the docks, a group of municipal museums (Polo Museale Porto Vecchio di Trieste) is installed in the old docks and other disused administrative buildings. Here you will find the Marine Museum, which traces the history of Triestine navigation through models of ships and measuring instruments, some of which date back to the early 18th century. These collections belonged to Lloyd Triestino, a historical shipping company (now Italia Marittima). Another section is dedicated to fishing in the Adriatic Sea.
