Among Trieste's historic cafés, the Tommaseo is a must. Opened in 1825, it is the oldest in the city. Step inside and you'll be transported back in time to a Belle Époque atmosphere, as you admire the succession of rooms adorned with molded ceilings and magnificent chandeliers, which also give the place a late 19th-century Parisian brasserie feel. Here, you can enjoy a spritz - the Triestinians' favorite aperitif - in this Art Deco decor or on the terrace. Restaurant service at lunchtime and in the evening for a traditional Italian meal, either on the land or the sea.

café est 3 fois plus cher et pas plus bon
Nous avons pris le café dans un lieu mythique et célèbre, le CAFFE TOMMASEO (Piazza Tommaseo 4 / C), un café de style viennois plein de miroirs et de peintures, avec de grands écrivains tels que Joyce et Italo Svevo ... et cette histoire rend le Le café est 3 fois plus cher et pas plus bon que dans un autre bar. Il nous reste une phrase de Joyce que nous avons trouvée dans notre guide "Vous pensez que vous vous échappez et vous vous trouvez. Le plus long détour est le plus court chemin du retour "
