Three small islands adjoin Taveuni and are administratively dependent on it. They are Qamea, Matagi and Laucala. Laucala Island is privately owned and houses the luxuriousComo Laucala Island resort , priced at over US$7,000 per night. For even more privacy, Como Laucala Island guests arrive on the island by private jet for a few thousand dollars more. For a less jet-set but just as pleasant stay, Qamea Island is an excellent choice, accessible by boat! The Qamea Resort & Spa used to be the island's luxury hotel, but it is closed at the time of writing, with no further information on its reopening.
