Mosque built in 1421 in Larabanga, one of the oldest in West Africa, with a Koran dating from the same period.
This is one of the oldest mosques in West Africa! It's located just outside the village, on the right-hand side, behind the houses. It's a traditional, white-painted earthen structure inspired by Sudanese architecture, around 8 metres long and with four doors. The minaret is located in the north-west corner. Built in 1421, during the era of trans-Saharan trade, it is known to have a Koran dating from the same period. Women are not allowed inside the mosque.

You are a bit assaulted by guide that wants only your Money and does not know a lot about the mosque . You cannot enter but the external view is nice enough
