RED CLAY STUDIO

In September 2020, internationally renowned Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama opened a breathtaking artistic space in the heart of Tamale: the Red Clay Studio. Known for his monumental installations linking urban materials, history and politics, the artist offers the city, through this large-scale complex, a modular space dedicated to creation and culture, where screenings, meetings, training courses and workshops are made possible. It's a site that has become an institution, and one that's well worth a visit when you're in Tamale! Our favorite.
