A historic site in Accra, key to triangular trade and home to the offices of the President of the Republic of Ghana.
Also known as the Castle or Christiansborg Castle, it was built in 1659 by the Danes and served as the residence of colonial governors from 1876, when the capital was transferred from Cape Coast to Accra. It then housed the country's seat of government until 2013, when it moved to Flagstaff House. A key site for the triangular trade, it now houses a museum on Ghana's colonial history.
