Writer Clive Staples Lewis, born in Belfast in 1898, spent a large part of his childhood in Strandtown in the east of the capital. It is known for its collection of Chroniques Chronicles, published in the 1950 s, as well as its literature on medieval literature. The close friend of Tolkien, father of the Lord of the Rings, is celebrated every year through this festival.
