Five miles from Castlebar, in the village of Turlough, is this museum, which is part of the National Museum of Ireland (whose three other entities are located in Dublin). This building focuses on everyday rural life from the 19th to the 20th century, especially between 1850 and 1950. Most of the artefacts come from rural Ireland in the 1930s.
