NATIONAL SELF-PORTRAIT COLLECTION

Within the University of Limerick, an interesting collection of hundreds of self-portraits by contemporary Irish artists. Established in 1972, the University of Limerick (UL) was the first university to be created since Irish independence in 1921. Its campus also houses sculptures by Irish and international artists.
