Adjacent to St John's Castle, this small museum presents a collection of objects relating to the history of the town and region. These include a fine collection of18th-century silverware, lithographs depicting the town and an interesting section devoted to lace. Limerick was home to a famous school of lacemaking. On display are preparatory sketches of designs and samples of embroidery. Archaeological finds dating back to the Bronze Age are also on display.
