HEAVY CHARLES
A fortified structure with a view of the harbour from its tip, housing a museum retracing the history of Kinsale and the fort.
A fortified construction (1670-1680) whose semicircular tip affords a fine view of Kinsale harbour and the ruins of James Fort opposite. The interior includes several19th-century buildings, some of which have been restored to house a museum retracing the history of the town and the fort, with military costumes, weapons and old maps. The2nd floor offers a beautiful view of the building. To reach the fort on foot (2 km from the center), you can take Scilly Walk, a pleasant stroll along the seafront.
