IRELAND FOOTBALL FINAL

Contrary to popular belief, rugby is not the national sport in Ireland. It is the Gaelic sports that are all the rage, led by hurling and Gaelic soccer. After county competitions throughout the season, the finals - the famous All-Ireland Finals - played at the mythical Croke Park stadium in Dublin, draw crowds in September. Gaelic soccer is a mixture of rugby and soccer, while hurling is played with a lacrosse stick and is reputed to be one of the fastest sports in the world.
