NUMBER 31
This Georgian-style establishment, with its twenty or so tastefully decorated modern-chic rooms, is a real favorite.
This haven of peace is a real favourite! The Georgian-style establishment houses twenty or so modern-chic rooms, personalised with great taste. The beds are cosy and the sophisticated decoration is immediately appealing. And with good reason, this guest house next to Saint Stephen's Green was designed by architect Sam Stephenson. The living room, straight out of a decorating magazine, with its large sofas around the fireplace invites you to relax. We also appreciate the lovely green garden where we can enjoy a quiet cup of tea.

Pros: the breakfast was outstanding, location is quiet but central enough that we were able to walk to most destinations in the city.
Cons: The room was small and cold. I understand it's a boutique hotel in an old building, but the minimalist design omits some comfort. When we arrived, the owner was in the lobby making disparaging comments about some guests that had just left. His attitude changed to friendly as soon as we walked in, and it felt really contrived and fake. We were glad the weather was nice so we could get outside and didn't have to spend much time at the hotel.
