Great find, really reasonably priced. We both enjoyed the onion soup and I had the beef bourguignon, delicious flavor! Husband raved about his apple dessert and I enjoyed the crème brûlée.

It’s quite popular and a tight squeeze inside, if the weather is nice I recommend outside seating. Expect a lively French bistro feel, not a quite romantic dinner. Would definitely come back.

This place is absolutely stunning. It is one of the best restaraunts I have been to in Dublin. Portions are huge and they have really good specials for a great price. Each dish was amazing. Highly, highly recommend

The only thing that is missing is ♿
It's a genuine French experience in the heart of Dublin
Perfect for a special occasion

We’re in the restaurant now & couldn’t wait to leave my 5-star review after. We loved everything here. The steak was charcoal grilled which added to the quality. Dessert was new to me & super delicious.

Some of the dishes were a touch too salty. The onion soup wasn't traditional they gave croutons and cheese on the side. The deserts seemed to be almost frozen. Overall it was good food but at these prices I expected better.

4 for atmosphere as it was a quiet Sunday night. Not their fault. 2 course was a tad expensive but not really when it comes to Dublin prices. Best Beef bourguignon ever and I know French food. Mussels excellent as was the Fish. Staff friendly and great service. Needless to say extensive selection of wine.
Located in a lovely corner beside Dublin Castle (AIB right beside it). Very French Bistró/café with outside dining, front and back.
It's been a few years since I visited after leaving Dublin 10 years ago. When I was in Dub, I had coffee before work every morning as it opens early. Many Bastille day celebrations to remember. We'll done to Max for keeping up exquisite standards through good times and bad. ???????? ????????????????????

Gave 4 for atmosphere as it was so quiet on a Sunday night.
2 of us dined last Sunday on my trip to Dublin. 3rd person didn't eat, just lovely wine!! 2 course €37 was a tee expensive but not in the scheme of Dublin prices. We had mussels a mini beef bourguignon pastry to start. Main Bourguignon and a fish dish for mains. Both of us loved our dishes and all 3 said it was the best Beef B we ever tasted, even in France!! Staff were lovely and service excellent.
I have been to the Palace St branch many times in the past, when I worked in the area. Always been top notch. ???????? I was delighted to see standards were as good as ever.
Beautiful café/bistro situated beside an entrance to Dublin Castle with outside dining areas, front and back. Keep it up Max. Highly recommended ???????? ????????????

Reasonably priced restaurant for centre city french cousine. Regional, hearty fair with matching country-kitchen decor. The Beef Bourgenon was delicious. Good staff.

Excellent restaurant aux prix très abordables !

Grand food, nothing special, you are getting French bistro dishes which is nice because hard to find in the city!
Definitely better places elsewhere but not bad food. We all got main course and dessert.
Too Expensive for what you’re getting.
The service was really nice and humble though!
