I tried this place coz its popular on social media its always on my fyp best breakfast in dublin . The popular is the dulce de leche pancake . They are right , it is . The pancake is so rich , loads of fruits , the syrup is nice not too sweet . They have the nicest coffee I tasted . The only thing is the place is too small to accomodate all the customers especially when the weather is not great and its not always great weather in dublin????. The staff are so accomodating though ,Turning on their heater giving us blanket but how can you eat when its raining ????????‍♀️You can get a takeaway so you can have a taste of their food but sometimes you just want to get out really of the house and eat good food at the place itself with somebody. You have to be early to get a place inside or probably book a table? and people inside do really take their time to eat????were finished eating and people we seen there by the time we got there were still there or probably we just hurried up ????coz of the cold and its starting to rain. The umbrella is not working coz the wind might blow it. I could see myself coming back because of the food not the place ????but ill be really really early i guess

Lovely little brunch spot. Great menu variety with some unique foods. Very tasty, and the staff was very helpful with any questions. Cosy place, so be sure to make a reservation.

My partner and I both had pancakes (the sweet du leche and savoury cork pancakes). The portions were pretty generous and the food was nicely presenting. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. My only gripe is that Alma came highly recommended for their pancakes - however, I'm not 100% convinced the pancakes were freshly made. They had soft bits, but then were hard and too chewy at the edges. It made me wonder if they pre-make the pancakes and then microwave the pancakes later (or place them in a pan in the oven to keep them hot). The consistency of the pancake was suspiciously like how my pancakes are if I microwave up an old one...

We loved that place! Perfect for lunch time during work, but it’s always packed so make sure you have a booking! Amazing coffee, I love the banana bread and healthy brownies they have.

Service: for no food service waiting time was quite long 5-7 minutes standing at the entrance, after was informed that's the case when the standing sign stated wait to be seated. Recommend banana bread as the go-to pickup item on the menu options as for what goes with the hot beverages, either she was new or not very familiar with the menu items. (Following response in food sector review)
Food: the banana bread was a complete disaster tried again and again to convince myself till the last bite it was worth the Recommendation was a small hint of banana taste but it was overpowered by the sauce of dulcet de leche above coating it. Crumbling with every bite instead of being moist and flavourful of bananas.
Coffee as you can see was burned (stain of the burned beans aroma loss on the foam as they didn't care for whatever going to be served. To this table.
Atmosphere: my seating area was dirty on the floor the place was small not enough space for bigger groups if you wanted food from the kitchen 3:40 was too late not even know what's kitchen served and with this bad experience, it an attempt.

It was one of the best breakfast/brunch place I had in Dublin. It is very small and absolutely you must be reservation. It is always very crowded and those who come without reservation are waiting table quite much time. Portions are quite enough. Employees are friendly and helpful. You can sit at the same table with other people you will be ready for it (: . But I suggest you give it a chance here to have a breakfast/brunch away from the sound and chaos. Service is fast and good quality. I tried pancakes and winter Turkish eggs both of them perfect. Thank you for everything (:

Couldn't get a table so ordered take out for today - got the dulce de leche pancakes for 2 of us and breakfast sambo for my hubby - was looking forward to it with all the hype around them but it was just ok - the breakfast sambo was tasty enough albeit with far too much ballymaloe relish but was so disappointed in the pancakes - just so bland and little to no flavour - wouldn't be rushing back - think it's more hype than anything and for over 42 euro with no drinks/coffees etc definitely not worth it -

Delicious food in a vibey cafe in a hip neighborhood. Nice macchiato and poached eggs on toast. Would recommend booking ahead as it gets quite busy.

One of the best places for breakfast in Dublin! Their dulce de leche pancakes were perfectly sweet and topped with fresh seasonal fruits. The poached eggs were also delicious. I recommend added smoked salmon. If in Dublin, Alma is a must!

Das Essen im Alma war durchaus sehr lecker. Besonders empfehlenswert sind das Granola und die Pancakes.

Schade ist jedoch, dass man nur maximal 60 Minuten bleiben darf, was nicht so gemütlich ist. Etwas enttäuschend war auch, dass man, wenn man zum Beispiel anstelle von pochierten Eiern lieber Rührei möchte, den vollen Preis für eine zusätzliche Portion Rührei zahlen muss, obwohl das pochierte Ei ersetzt wird. Ein kleiner Aufpreis für die Änderung wäre verständlich, aber so erscheint mir das nicht ganz fair.

Dennoch würde ich das kleine Café wieder besuchen & auch weiter empfehlen, da es einfach lecker war!

Visited last year for brunch with a friend would definitely recommend. We had the pancakes and they were incredible. The service was quick, and the staff were very friendly.
