Local ingredients, carefully chosen, and an original technique imported from Spain, cooking on volcanic stone.

Chef Dylan McGrath relies on carefully selected local ingredients and an original technique imported from Spain, cooking on volcanic stone. Meat and fish are presented to the customers, who decide themselves how to cook their dish. Of course it is sometimes a little perilous, but it is fun all the same. The setting, in the style of a trendy farmhouse, is not to displease a clientele rather aware of the latest trends. If you're too lazy to get started, opt for the tasting plates, composed of different tapas.

Absolutely disapointing, and I'll take this mostly on Managers/Owners for exhausting their very limited resources. The restaurant has very little space and staff capacity, especially kitchen & bar, but always overbooked resulting in terrible seating and service where you have to wait over 1 hour for food & drinks.

I've been to this place frequently since pre-covid time when it was still Taste upstairs, but since 2023, the service got a lot worst. After last night, I doubt that I'll ever come back.

1. Extremely slow service

- We had to wait over 1 HOUR for our drinks.
We ordered a glass of wine and mocktails at the beginning and they only arrived over 1 hour later after asking multiple times.
- Main courses also arrived 1 hour after order. We basically sat there waiting for 45mins after starters with no drinks, no food.

2. Portion got cut in half, price unchanged

- Crab mayonnaise: back in 2021/2022, the portion included 2 halves of the avocado filled with crab mayonnaise. You can still see it if you dig up some photos here from back then that customers posted. From last year, they only give you 1 half now. And yes, the price is still the same.

3. Overcrowded restaurant with terrible seating

They tried to squeeze in as many tables as possible, which is such a disgrace for the price they charge. We got a tiny table for 2 at the door with 1 seat stuck out of the way and constantly got kicked on when customers and staff walk past.

All off these are not a 1-time thing. Few months ago, we also had to wait really long for food to arrive but the waiter/manager back then (basement area) was apologetic and gave us a free round of drink while waiting, so we thought it was just a bad day for them. This time, it got a lot worst and they still charged us full for a service that was only half delivered.

Great food. Starters (tuna tartare, spicy edamame, grilled peppers) were great. .y tuna main course (on the stone) came with an unbelievable sushi/poached egg/spicy mayo - sounds strange but was so good. My friend had a great rib-eye. Good wine choices too! Went mid week. Service was excellent - professional and friendly.

Travelled to Dublin for the weekend. Hadn't booked a table but were lucky enough to get one when arrived at the restaurant. The staff were excellent the wine was delicious but all of that paled into the distance with the quality of the food. It was all stunning and the beef was someof the best we have ever had. We would thoroughly recommend. Book before you go as it was very very busy when we returned the following evening for a second go at the menu. We had steaks and soft crispy crab.
