Continuing on the E18 towards Oslo, we pass through Kristinehamn, a quiet harbor town on the Vanumsviken, a lagoon on Lake Vänern. It seems to have inspired people since time immemorial, since the Järsbergsstenen rune stone, one of the oldest in the country, can be found a few kilometers to the south, and since the last person to have left his mark there was none other than Pablo Picasso. The sculptor Carl Nesjar created this sculpture based on a model of the Spanish master, certified by him. Kristinehamn chose its name in honor of Queen Christina of Sweden. A beautiful historical town in the heart of Värmland.
