Located some 45 km north of the Arctic Circle, in the heart of the mountains, Björkliden offers a wide variety of places to stay and things to do. Whether you're traveling with the family, on business or simply looking for some fantastic extreme skiing, choose your pleasure: secluded cabins with independent kitchens, a cabin at the foot of the ski slopes, a 4-star hotel nestled at the foot of the mountain... Every place to stay is close to the slopes, restaurants and entertainment!

This organization manages accommodation in the park. There are two main options: stay in the resort. The main building has very functional single or double rooms, with shower and WC on the first floor. Very friendly and warm atmosphere. The other option is to stay in the heart of the park, in the STF refuges. Only kept in the summer. The accommodation cannot be reserved in advance. The right to stay in the chalets starts at 295 SEK per person. Members of the Touring Club receive a discount.

You have to admit that this hostel, located just above the train station, is a bit sad from the outside. That said, the atmosphere is warm and the service is very friendly. We sleep either in dormitories or in private rooms with bathroom. The advantage of this hostel is that many activities are organized there, summer and winter, from sleigh rides to cross-country skiing excursions. What's more, it's inexpensive compared to accommodation at Abisko Turistation. In any case, the location is good and the adventure is there.

A large yellow house with three floors, divided into single and shared rooms. We highly recommend the top floor, which in addition to a large kitchen/living room, offers the residents of the floor the possibility to access a sauna. Access is rather incongruous, since you have to go through the only common bathroom of the floor, which has only a glass shower... The hostel also offers snowmobile tours to let you enjoy the splendid landscapes of the surroundings, and paradoxically, to explain you the harmful effects of global warming.
